My horse is currently being treated for grade 2/3 ulcers with gastrogard.

I’m just wondering if anyone has any good supplement recommendations to add to his feed to help?

Unfortunately there isn't a "best" supplement - its a matter of finding which one best suits your horse.

Are you feeding Sucralfate to support the hindgut along side the Gastrogard? I would definitely recommend that.

Keyflow Pink Mash feeds appears to have helped the ex-racer and after trying a multitude of supps he is best on Science Supplements Gastrocare.

There might be others that he would do even better on but having found something that works I'm loathed to go back to trial and error.

He has adlib forage year round and gets half a scoop of chaff before exercise too.

I have worked with both U-Guard and Neigh-Lox and have been happy with both.
I used the Neigh-Lox on a horse I had that was always difficult to keep weight on and it did wonders. However (MY experience, not everyones) when I gave it to my ulcer horse I saw no difference. Then I tried the U-guard and I feel like there was an improvement in her comfort level.
my vet STRONGLY recommends using UlcerGuard to ANY horse when in a high-stress environment. So any horse that goes to a horse show, high-impact training or goes on trial (to be sold) we give them UlcerGuard. This is a paste much like a dewormer that is given daily throughout the stressful situation.
I hope that this helps you :) Be sure you discuss this in detail with your instructor and vet. Instructors DO know what is going on - and they should have a very good idea of your horse's personality, schedule and training level. Also, your vet will have detailed knowledge of your horse's medical history and your geographical requirements.

Good Luck! :)
