I've been using a wintec wide for my coblet for the past 2 years, and only recently changed because it was too small for me and I needed something more forward cut.

It fitted my pony well and I've been able to change the size as he has lost weight (from an xxxx wide to a wide!). Normal Wintec are too narrow at the back for him, the wide for version is...well...wider!!

My friend has a thorowgood maxam for her cob, but when I put it on Murphy (just out of curiousity) it was too narrow at the back and TBH when I've ridden her pony I don't find it as comfy as the wintec.

*cough* my wintec wide may be up for sale in the near future *cough*

Bear had a throwgood for over 2 years, only changed it cos I got a nice dressage saddle cheap,

Can I cough *my lovely wintec dressage saddle needs a new home* cough

I have just put mine in the saddle shop as i have bought a new saddle, but i loved my wintec when i first got it.

We recently bought a Thorowgood T4 cob saddle for my mums new Highland pony for everyday riding and its fantastic. It fits her a treat and is comfortable enough for the price it cost. To look at it you wouldn't think it was synthetic either and an added bonus is it also fits my youngster too! Would highly recommend one!!

OHs mare used to have a Wintec...it was ok-ish....then it got nicked and he replced it with a Thorowgood, not sure of the model but it definately fits better than the Wintec.

Although saying that, the young Highland has a WintecWide and that fits very well, even though he has a flat back and no withers.

Ive just got a Kent and Master cob saddle, its designed by Thorowgood but its a leather one and fully adjustable.
Thorowgood all the way i had a cob saddle and it was great.

i would def recomend throwgood!! fitted my boy brilliantly and the new ones look just as smart if they are looked after well. im in the process of having to get a new nag as my stunning wonderful boy died 3 weeks ago today. i would go out and buy a throwgood without question xx
