Thanks

Ah ok thanks - just looked at their site - it would be so much easier if they put "can carry horses up to XXhh" on each trailer ay

And what do you tow with?

My 17hh Irish draught travels really well in our Ifor Williams 510.(will carry 2 17.2hh) Secondhand prices for these trailers were quite high but with the new Ifor range out (the 506 & 511) i dont know if the value of secondhand will drop.

We tow with a Mercedes E300, 3L diesel auto.

We do acctually have a Bateson Ascot, but we have ponies, 13.1h and a filly foal...We can tow up to around one 15.2h or both my ponies. OH uses my trailer for his big donkey (17h TB I mentioned) but uses a different car, don't know what though as I'm not usually around when he goes out.

The 510 is a bit smaller.

I tow with a jeep cherokee, its very powerful and can tow 2,500 kg easy. Its more like my road-legal tractor!

As far as I am aware the 511 has replaced the 510 model, they are the same size, they just look different now!

DublinBay, you'd have plenty of room for your boy in a 510/511 if you decide to go with an Ifor.

I tow my boy (16.3hh VERY wide Irish Draught) in an Ifor Williams 510. The difference between the 511 and 510 is that the 511 is the new version. It is slightly bigger at the front to give them more turning room, but I Have never had a problem.
I pull with a 3 litre Nissan Terrano, its super. Have to remind myself that I have a trailer and horse behind!
Sadly having to sell trailer as horsey got poorly leg!

Thanks fimbleina - Must get saving, as after a lot of injury Im the opposite of you, my chap is getting fit now so need to think about transport for parties.
