Hullo all,

I'm hoping to take the neds on a short break to a training centre at some point this year, and was hoping some reccomendations might be forthcoming?

I'm based oop north (Cumbria) so preferably within a couple of hours travelling with the trailer.

Have been considering the Bartles' Yorkshire Riding Centre - any reports?

Yorkshire RC is excellent. I've only ever had lessons on ther horses but I know people who have taken their own horses for training; all have been raving about it afterwards.

However I am not sure how much they do in the way of residential courses nowadays - you can still stay on site but it now seems to be mainly B&B so you might have to sort out other meals (not a problem if you are prepared to drive into Ripon or Harrogate every evening, but you might not feel like doing this after a hard day's riding). But it's probably worth giving them a call to see what they can offer.

Should also mention it is not cheap - but in my experience, worth every penny.

I'd def recommend YRC been 3 times with my little horse & they were fab. I was bit concerned cos not riding posh dressage/eventer type but it really didn't matter. Huge improvement every time i went &the instructors v good.
I didn't stay at YRC stayed in hol let in Harrogate each time & that meant could do other things when not doing horses
