Me again looking for labour saving ideas.
I want to get a really good easy to move wheelbarrow for the field.
I have a back issue and one of my paddock sharers is older and moans for england (but she is lovely). We dont want a motor thingy but two out of three of us find a wheelbarrow full of Pooh weighs a ton.

Ideas please and Thank you in anticipation my last quest was very well replied to.

I don't think there is a solution to easier poo picking. Our yard had a kabota but I find it quicker to use my b & q wheelbarrow. It is also easier if done every day rather than letting it build up.

I use barrows with 2 wheels. Because the wheels are under the load, as opposed to in front of it, you don't lift the weight - just push it which is so much easier. I have 2 barrows one regular and one large. The large one is huge and yet is still easier to use than a regular one wheeled barrow because it has a good point of balance so doesn't put any sideways strain on you, somthe load is always equal n both hands Both are metal I know the large one was £240 but can't remember the price of the small one - well worth the money though! :)

we use tractor and trailer , but in the wet months we use these wheelbarrows

you need to make sure its the wide one as the tall thin one you end up kicking the legs.
the 5200G yellow one is the one that has narrow space where you walk

2 wheeled barrows are ok in the dry but a pig when wet.

Over the years i have use many barrows. these haemmerlin ones are light and easy to push including pushing up a muckhill where 2 wheeled ones are harder.
this is my recommendation

Ive got a little 4 wheeled, pull along truck. It has the same capacity as your average stable barrow but is quite low to the ground, I just find it easier to pull than push. My field is fairly flat but the trip back to the muck heap is gently uphill. Not bright enough to post a link to it but bought it online from somewhere than does garden stuff.

Yes it does, there's a little clip at the front, just release it, tip your poo and off you go. Totally brilliant and does make the job easier. All I need to do is train Che to pull it and he can do his own poopicking!!

I think it depends on the make of the two wheeled barrows. The Haemmerlin ones have a really good point of balance and that's what makes them very easy - in mud or dry. I've had mine for 7 years and they're still going strong !

By the way... One mode of poo transport that I wouldn't recommend!....

I bought a battery powered barrow - think it was called a 'love cart'. Absolutely hopeless!!! It would probably be good in the garden to transport dead leaves, etc but totally useless as a poo picking barrow.

Now thinking that the barrow we use is heavy before it has a load in it it belongs to Mrs Fussy field sharer (there are three of us Mrs Fussy, Miss Very Nice Girl and me Ms Anxious to do the right thing) so maybe if I buy a lightweight one. I have one for my stable but that is at top of hill and field is tother side of farm so got fed up going to and fro.

Someone else with their barrow?? :D :D :D

I have a big, green two wheeler.. Used and repaired it 8 years and it's still going strong :)

Polldark, do you know where I can buy a good reliable "husband attachment" as described in your post above. I did have one, but it proved very unreliable, simply wasnt up to the job, battery ran out after just one use!!! :)

I have a Haemmerlin 5200g one-wheel barrow. It's plastic and has a capacity of 110l, almost twice the capacity of a bog standard builder's barrow.
