Hello!

Just a quick request for suggestions on ways we can entertain / educate / develop our 22mth old vizslas?

They are both lovely girls and have basic 'sit', 'come', 'leave' commands established and are good on the lead (especially if you happen to be cycling so they can remain at their regular Bat Out of Hell pace

) however they are very lively and can be rambunctious (

I am aware of flyball, basic gundog training, ringcraft (thanks Temsik!) and agility type sessions but which would you recommend? Which are the most fun? Which classes wont make too much stink if we crackers foursome turn up and cause chaos?

Any suggestions or ideas would be great thanks- especially if they happen to be local to East Dorset

You could try flyball which will let out some of their energy and be fun and then you could also go to some obedience class which isn't as much fun but will be very useful.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I have looked into HPR training with them but I'm a bit concerned we will be chastised for allowing them in the house, on the sofas and on the foot of the bed (when they sneak up at 2am

I don't think that would be a problem, would it? I am sure a lot of gundogs are housepets too!
I vote for doing what most comes naturally to them, although I can't see any local farmers letting my two have a go on their flock

We do agility and obedience and a little bit of tracking, like most dogs, really enjoy having a 'job' to do.

All my Parent's "Gundogs" do exactly that! A trainer might say they'd be better off in a kennel, but I don't think they'd care that much!!
