After demolishing my JTE Sprint Ultra when I landed on my head I am now looking at buying another hat... as a temporary hat I bought an ordinary scull cap but it is roasting my head! Now I know that even the well ventilated ones, like my old JTE, still give you a sweaty head when working horses in 30 degree heat but nothing quite like the scull cap I have!! So what are everyone's recommendations?

I'm looking at spending up to £150. I liked my JTE but I was wondering if there was anything else anyone recommends before I buy another!

Thanks in advanced!

Have a look at uvex. I've got one about £100. Most comfortable hat I've ever worn. Plenty of ventilation and you can close off the vents when it's raining ! Although I've not been a fan of adjustable hats in the past this one actually works and I've no complaints at all. In fact if I ever want or need another hat I'd get another uvex and probably up my budget.

I had a just togs hat too and loved it. Just bought a Charles Owen Ayr 8 from hickstead, nice looking and v comfortable. Think there's a newer version with even better ventilation.

casco mistrall :) have this for home and am very impressed, i only get a very slightly sweaty forehead and not really hot at all on the top of my head.

show hat is a KEP and also very good, again not too sweat inducing at all but is more £££.
