After a interesting read about pink powder iv taken the time to look at their general purpose which is what I use and uummm tbh I'm not to happy, so what general vit/min supplement is the best with out all the fillers. Mine are all bare foot so don't want cereal by products etc. :)

Have you looked at Total Eclipse from Simple Systems? My horses are barefoot, and I have tried other products over the years and have gone back to Simple System feeds every time because they don't upset the equilibrium of the horses at all.

I don't like that either

TE = micro linseed and brewer's yeast (cheaper from Charnwood) and seaweed (only helpful for extra iodine - very rarely required with UK grazing).

Horses very rarely require vitamins - they not like us, they can make virtually every vitamin they need from forage, sunlight and their digestive bacteria.

Almost everything they need is already in the grass/hay/haylage they eat. But as it is the same old field and soil every day - they often need some minerals.

The BEST way is to get a forage analysis and work out your mineral profile from there (dairy farmers have been doing this for years...horse owners still buy hay 'because it smells nice...!).

If that isn't possible - then choose a mineral supplement that is higher in zinc and copper but lower in iron and calcium.

Equimins do one (you have to ask them for it, it was created on demand of some barefooters)

Pro Hoof is another.

I also love micronised linseed and mixed herbs.
