I need to find a decent pair of waterproof boots that don't cost a fortune and can be worn all day without hurting my feet. I looked at the Dublin boots, which I've wanted for years. Unfortunately the on-line reviews have caused me to turn away. Apparently the older boots were great but the new ones have dropped badly in quality. Any input for me?

Summit,

Yes, I suppose so. I had hoped for something that looked a little more fashionable but if I have to chose I'll go for warm and waterproof.

I love my mark Todd yard boots.
Comfy as trainers, great to ride in, properly waterproof. I jump up and down on haynets to soak.
Best bit is they’ve now been worn to death and abused for 3 years and still going strong ?
Only thing I’d say is they’re true to size so if you want to get a thick sock in them go for the next size up

Oh, thank you! that is exactly what I'm looking for. And I can get them in the US.

I have Ariat grasmeres. They are expensive but last for years, so work out cheaper in the long run. I had Toggi and Dublin boots before and they lasted around 6 months.
