Does anyone have any suggestions? not too expensive. I've gone through two jackets this morning, they are both in the washing machine. so I'm going to pop out to see if I can get something else!

was thinking maybe a skiing jacket or something? might be better at keeping the wet out? might pop to go outdoors!

any suggestions would be great!

If you can stretch to £120 then I highly recommend the Seasalt Kellifray rain mac. It is by far the best and most waterproof coat I have ever had. It has no fill so good for putting over the top of warm winter fleeces and gilets. I normally take a size 10-12 but bought a size 14 in this as read they come up small. It fits me perfectly over a tee shirt, fleece and gilet and has not leaked once. It is also flattering to the figure and very smart. http://www.johnlewis.com/seasalt-ra...tmcampid=73&kpid=233702555#media-overlay_show

I love paramo gear it is made by nikwax and is very popular with search and rescue teams. It is very waterproof and washes well. It is also lifetime guaranteed. It isn't cheap but you wouldn't need to change due to being soaked through. Also if you aren't fussy on colour you can often get bargains on ebay, mine was £80 brand new.
