Hi, I am looking for a pair of trousers that I can put over my comp jods or clean trousers so that I can stay clean around yard and also to ride if wet. Must have FULL zips down the side and not be slippery to ride in (been there before!).

Anyone got any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

I am an Instructor and groom so working out side in all weathers this year i invested in a pair of Mountain Horse polar breeches and would highly recommend then well worth the price tag!! full seat, prebent knees, full length zips amazing ! about £110 but worth every penny

I have mountain horse full chaps which I love and have lasted really well, great for riding in during winter, stay super warm and dry! They aren't full seat though so I'd deffo get full seat ones to go over comp jods as I've done this before and they always manage to slobber on the bits that aren't covered :rolleyes3:

Thanks everyone, definitely want trouser style rather than chaps as bound to get white bits of jods dirty otherwise!

The Mountain horse ones look nice but a bit warm for all year round, however when looking at them I did notice these which look like a possibility http://www.naylors.com/women/leisur...oofs/mountain-horse-unisex-crew-pants-pu-navy

Plus have seen some Mark Todd Regina ones which look ok too..

But any more suggestions welcome :)

I prefer neoprene long chaps, they're waterproof and warm but also don't rustle and the neoprene is super grippy. I have kitt ones and they're on their 3rd winter going strong

I've been looking at these online, seem to be the best option- was wondering how the fitting is?

I am 5'9" and size 12/14. I went for large and would not have wanted any smaller. Mine just arrived today so not worn in rain as yet but non slippy fabric and lined with mesh - others were from farm shop and a bit slippy - and had started leaking.

daughter is 8/10 and small fit her but not baggy.

I have the perfect ones for you! Tagg Hannah waterproof trousers. They have a "sticky bum" seat so actually hold you in place (I stick to my leather car seats!)
They are only thin lined so easy to wear and relatively cheap.
I wear mine all day most days at the moment. My only complaint would be that the elastic that go's under your foot it slightly weirdly positioned- does the job still it's just odd!

Thank very much! Very helpful :) can't wait until payday, if this weather continues, we'll all definitely get our money's worth!

These sound great, do they have the full zips all the way down the outside legs though? Thanks :)

My sharer was wearing Shires ones last night but they are for the cold so wouldnt be suitable all year round. Looked great though but she could make wearing a paper bag look great, lol :p
