best waterproof trousers

what winter trousers do you find are best? i want to be able to ride in them and wear them around the yard. help!!

My suggestion may not be the best waterproof trousers but probably the cheapest and TBH I love them.

They are Donnay golf waterproofs.

They are cosy, totally water proof and fab for riding in - and the cost me all of £6!!!

I've got Toggi Extreme - super to ride in and stayed waterproof through most of the last winter's downpours. They don't stay dry in torrential rain though

Mine are Shires.... really warm and dry, but make me feel a bit like the Michelin Man

Buy ones designed for mountain walking. I have mountain hardwear ones, totally waterproof but really pricey. For riding I have the Rambo chaps and they are quite good. Get a cold bum though!!!!!

Toggi Xtreme over trousers are my choice they are brilliant really stop the wind and the rain, they are made like chaps with the outside zip so are perfect for riding in, you won't be disappointed!!

May be no help but just flicking through last months horse mag, the best rated ones were Must Innovation ones, followed by Shires for value (£16.70).

I've invested in some lovely Rockfish ones, they are fantastic, really comfortable to ride in and they look good too, with zips that go waist to floor for easy putting on/off.
