A looking for a waterproof jacket for winter. Barbour are lovely but out of my budget! What are the Toggi ones like? Doesn't have to be a 'horsey' make either - that always seems to increase the price!:p

I have a joules wax jacket which I got half price at end of season and am happy with it. Not had a wax one but I find musto ones very good. If you can get a last season one they are often half price but just as good.

Drizabone are brilliant! Teaching in the heaviest of rain I've stayed dry. Just shut the pockets properly or they fill with water and create a swimming pool for your phone :s !!

I used to like Barbour, but they split at the elbows every year, so end up needing being replaced every year. And the price goes up and up. I just bought a Ben Nevis from Burghley that looks really warm and has been great in the downpours this week. It was £50, so if I have to replace it three times it will still be way cheaper than a Barbour.

Liked the look of the Rydale for a good cheap wax, but I never like the cuffs on them - the linings always look as though they'd get wet.

I still haven't found anything as waterproof or handy around the yard, despite trying various gortex type things. They also don't show the dirt as much.
