Hi everyone, Just after some tips!

The physio is coming back out to Doll tomorrow, so hopefully she can start being brought back into work next week.

I'm really worried that the little beast will have gotten into the habit of bucking though, as i dont know how long her back was sore for before we found out.

The plan was to do some lunging for a while first (how long would you say?) before getting on. But it got to the point where she'd buck me off in just a walk, so what should i do? And when i do get on, do i school or hack?

I was also wondering about her bit. It's a loose ring french link snaffle that we put her in after she was broken in (she was broken in late). But i always wondered how you're meant to choose a bit - there are so many. I don't want to be chucking a really harsh bit in for no reason. So how do i know if she's happy in the french link? She's very responsive when she's in a nice mood, but can be strong and fight when she wants to as well, so sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Hi,
The physio I've used has always asked me to work mine on straight lines only for at least a few days after treatment, after that I'd imagine you'd be fine to school. Instead of lunging perhaps you could long line so she isn't on a circle?
As for the bit is there any pattern to when she fights it e.g. on a hack, jumping? If so perhaps try something else on those occasions but stick with the loose ring french link in situations where she's fine in it.
Good luck, maybe make sure you have someone on the ground if you're worried. Hope it goes OK.
