Best way to sell a horse quick :(

I could do trial but the way things are at the moment I wouldn't want to get him back and have the same problem selling all over again, someone else also suggested putting the price up but me not being able to keep him in full ridden work plus the fact that I can't even ride to show him off to potential buyers I really don't think I can ask Any more money for him, all i can do is lunge, it's so hard when the climate is so bad, I think I'll put him on a few more websites at the weekend and see if that helps, thanks for all your help I really appreciate it x

Im looking for a horse! Doubt if he fits my bill but you can PM me his details if you like just in case. ALso, whereabouts are you?

What are you looking for Stilton?

I think sometimes a low price puts people off - they think there must be something wrong with it? May be worth using different pix and readvertising for a bit more? Certainly all the horses I have seen sold recently have been the more pricey ones...........

Good luck

tis a shame [for me ] that you wouldnt consdier a loan - altho i understand your hesitancy - i am looking for a dressage horse at exactly that level but need to loan as i have a v expensive & old retired mare
really hope you find a nice home for him:)

nothing to add to all the advice in the thread, things are difficult for sellers at the moment My hunter was put to sleep yesterday and I am being bombarded by people trying to sell/ give me horses to replace him. I have never experienced anything like it .
I would research the agri college route if I were you a friend did this with one of hers a senestive tricky mare it did the horse a great deal of good she was well cared for and happy while there and it would be quieter than your livery yard sounds no kids or stuff like that.
Good luck and I hope you find a good solution .

So sorry to hear your sad news hun :(

Im having quite alot of interest in him through hes adverts, ive just put him on one of the very popular sites too so fingers crossed i will have a lovely person give him a good home x

I'd also say he's almost too cheap... if you sent him to a sales yard I bet they'd put the price up.

If you get really stuck send him to my Hants yard for "full" grass livery!

Sales Livery and put the price up. TBH at that price with what he has done my first thought is what is wrong with him? he is too cheap! and don't be so down on him being spooky...a more experienced rider or a good kid coming off ponies is not going to care, same goes for his size!

The too cheap comment is a valid point I bought a 1500 horse last year different circumstances too you but the owner was desperate to sell for reasons beyond her control I looked at him online of ages and never rang as I thought he was so cheap there must be some sort of awful problem but because he was exactly what we where after on paper so we went to look he was a fairly long way away (3 and a half hours) and he was perfect ,it's just finding a way to get the right people to look at him.
