Im looking at buying a H/w Turnout. I have got a choice of two now which i like. But. . .One is 300g and the other is 360g.

Horse will have a hunter clip. Im thinking more along the lighter one of the two. Because if i really need to and its really cold i can put an extra rug under. But im still not sure which one would be more sensible to get? they are both similar prices.

The rugs are
Orican Combo Full Neck- 360g
ORICAN ORIGINAL-300g Both of the rugs have necks.

Thanks

Thats exactly what i was thinking, in the very worst i can stick a stable rug under, but he wont be out in the worst of weather

Thanks for all your opinions

I'd probably go for the lighter one for similar reasons. You can always put on an under rug if you need it so in some ways the lighter rug is more flexible to your needs.

QR I'd consider 300g verging on the medium weight really so if that's your only choice go for the 360g. I have a rambo supreme which is 420g! Although it was very expensive it's really light to handle and even my boy who can feel the cold is always toasty in it with no other layers and it's about to go into its 6th winter!
