Hello, I want to know your opinions on the best wellington boots, I'm looking for some good sturdy tough comfortable wellies, and want some advice on which ones to go for.

Many thanks to anyone who replies :) x

2 years ago I got some Le Chameau with neoprene insides. They are the most comfortable wellies I've ever worn, I can wear them all day without ant problems.
I've also had Hunters, years ago they were good but my last couple of pairs split within weeks of owning them. They used to be made in Scotland and were thick rubber, I think they're made abroad now and the rubber seems to be a lot thiner.
Ariats I found really 'clumpy', and generally uncomfortable, I was really disappointed because I'm an Ariat girl through and through.
Muck boots, size 7 was to small and size 8 was huge and gave me blisters.

Muck boot Tyne. Warm, very comfortable and tough. Can't fault them, mine are 3 or 4 years old and still like new.
Have leather Le Chameau boots which are fab, but too nice for wading through mud.

Just received some Hunters for Christmas and while they are a good fit and look nice, they seem very flimsy and thin. Will be interested to see how they withstand yard life. A lovely present, but I would never have bought them as they are very expensive and lacking substance.

I second Muck Boot Tynes. I wore Hunters for years but I've totally given up on them now, the neoprene lined ones used to be ok but the pair I got for this winter didn't keep my feet warm (and it hasn't even got that cold yet ) and looked like they would last about 2 weeks if I was lucky. I've now got a pair of Muck Boot Tynes and I love them. They feel very robust and keep my feet nice and toasty. Also you can ride in them but I haven't tried this yet :)

I got some Seeland wellies for OH and he loves them - neoprene is cosy and comfortable and there is great grip on the soles.

Muck Boot Tyne if you want warm dry and sturdy and you can ride in them, mine have lasted for years.
I have just got some Le Chameau All Tracks which are a lovely fitted ladies welly but more of a summer welly as don't keep you feet warm but stretch to the neoprene version if you want them for winter.

Aigle Parcours - the neoprene lined ones. As good as Le Chameau and about half the price. I paid about £70 for mine - the same price as Hunters these days and just a bit more expensive than Ariat Mudbusters and they've already lasted about twice as long (about 18 months) with no real signs of wear yet. My YO is on her 7th year in hers and they still look good.

This :D

They may be expensive but they are sooooo comfortable they're worth the money. i would now not even think about getting any other make. I got mine almost 3 1/2 yrs ago and I expect to get another 2 yrs the way they're going. I wear them every day and have used them for all the usual horsey stuff plus walking on the heather moors plus going rough shooting and they have never let me down
