Hi,
Just qualified for RDA dressage championships but as I haven't competed much for last 3 years my competition wear is old and getting ready for replacement. Can anyone recommend good supportive and flattering white breeches or johds for rounded thighs and peachy bottoms, please?😁 High waist preferred.

Also a good show shirt, preferably fitted and with long sleeves and a good black show jacket thatisn't too long (I'm only 5 foot tall)!

Thanks.

I do not wear white breeches EVER!!!

Beige or cream are just fine and hide a few sins that white breeches don't

Cream/beige for definite if a larger sized rider!!

Pikeur do really good value show jackets - I tend to go for the Diana but that is longer in back length, they do have a shorter model. I personally prefer navy with cream breeches.

I generally wear pikeur breeches although I do have a good pair of caldene show ones too.

Musto for performance stock shirts

Thank you for your suggestions. I will check but I think it has to be white breeches for the championships, I have usually worn beige in the past for competing, I'm not huge (size 12-14 general clothes/jeans etc) but there is something about johds and my shape that just don't seem to.go together in the lighter colours!

I've got narrow hips and pretty slim thighs (all my weight is around the middle).

I look like Elvis in his Vegas-burgers-drinking-drugs-haven't-eaten-in-five-minutes days in white breeches.

I have just had to ignore this, as I don't know if anyone looks good in white breeches!

Thank you very much, uh-huh.

Can't really help with best breeches, but for the times I have to wear "nice" ones (white or beige), I wear some control lingerie to smooth things out. I got mine from Tescos a little while ago - not sure what the proper name is, but if you search for "Shaping Shorts" or something like that you might get some ideas. Mine are quite high waist, and cover the thighs. Like you, I'm not huge, but I found they just give a bit more confidence, and minimise the VPL!

Likewise, I sometimes wear a compression-type top under my shirt to help keep everything in order :)

Good luck with your competition, by the way!
