My Super-Granny has offered to buy me some new boots for Christmas. At the moment I just wear jodhpur boots but it's getting pretty cold first thing in the morning, and it's only going to get colder over the winter.

I want some long boots that are all cosy and warm (possibly fluffy lined), waterproof on the outside and with a suitable heel to ride in.

Also, being the proud owner of a chunky cob-baby, steel toe caps wouldn't go amiss

Anyone know of such a boot? Or something similar that is worth recommending?

Thermal lined and waterproof. Not as expensive or smart as the Bromont or the Grasmere so great for yard work too.

On the cheaper scale I have the Woofwear Long muckers which are like lovely, comfy, fleecy slippers but I find them too bulky to ride in and they leak around the ankle.

Mine aren't actually equestrian, but provided you have a 5inch stirrup, they're fabulous for riding in - Caterpillar Steel Toe cap boots! I've had mine for years and they put up with a LOT of abuse! They aren't long, but I just wear chaps or ski socks pulled up. Very trendy, me!
