Drontal is by far the most popular non-prescription wormer for dogs and is really effective.

Advocate is excellent and treats fleas too but you'll need to ask your vet for a prescription before saving online. Moppett - your local pharmacy would need to see a prescription to legally sell it. If they are selling it without a prescription they are breaking the law.

Plerion make a chewable dog wormer which is also very good.

Advocate monthly and either milbemax/drontal 3 monthly. Best regime. Advocate is POM-V as is milbemax anyone selling without prescription is breaking the law. Xx

I generally use Drontal, which I just grab from my vets when its due and I'm passing, occassionally my vet will say no to Drontal and give me Droncit as I use Advocate on my pooch

I use milbemax my dog was very ill after using drontal although I don't know for certain it was that or a coincidence but wasn't going to try it again just in case. I believe it does all the same worm types as drontal.
