I own a welsh d X irish cob who i event BE80 - never booted her before but my instructor has suggested getting some XC boots for this season as we're going up to BE90. She's not a heavy, hairy cob but she does have chunky legs; cob-size boots aren't wide enough and full-size boots are too long. The only medium-extra-wide boots i can find are brushing boots but ideally i would like boots suited more to cross country, i.e. breathable and more protective.

Anyone know of any XC boots that come in wide sizes, or that fit chunky cob legs??

I recently bought some woof wear xc boots for my absolute beast of a Welsh cob. Medium on the front and large hinds. They fit really well. The boots aren't the really expensive ones, they were about £40/pair.

I have PE air cooled event boots for my Welsh D. I have small on front & hind despite her being 15.1hh. They don't have measurements on the site but if you call they will give them to you. They are good fit, I got mine in the 30% off sale.

N.E.W do boots in short/ wide, I have a pair for super chunky legged highland and they fit well.
