Took Betsy to Patchetts today for some unaffiliated dressage, I must say it's a breath of fresh air compared to BSJA! Had a drama with the lorry before setting off, I had driven it round to the tack room as I didn't want to get it wet carrying it to the lorry. Wandered off, came back and saw human bedding poking out above the windscreen
! The luton has to be unbolted to tilt the cab, which would have been done when it went for its MOT at the end of October, and presumabley has been flapping in the wind since then
as the garage hadn't bolted it back. Took me half an hour with a hammer, screwdriver, three stacked chairs to stand on and an awful lot of swear words to make it safe, in the pouring rain I might add
, when I should have been plaiting, so consequently arrived about 10 minutes before my first test. Went in, she was rather unfocussed and stilted, came away with 57%, but someone took my sheet so no idea of comments. Had an hour until my next test, so went and learnt it then got back on and worked her quite hard. Went in and she was much better, but I went a bit hard on her in the canter and she threw in a flying change on both reins, earning herself a 3 and a 4
, but everything else was 6s and 7s, so ended up 5th
. Someone's trying her tomorrow, and got another possible lined up Wednesday if tomorrow's lot don't want her.
