Just saw this on instagram and googled to see if it was true

Might mean competition societies stop insisting in a double vaccine when it’s not really required IMO

Part of it will be because racing is now wanting 6 monthly vaccines from Jan onwards so a lot of yard have started it now so they are in line when the regs change.

My vet told me they couldn't get hold of flu vaccines and that it was fortunate that my girls were having flu and tetanus together.

We couldn't get just flu so horses had to have the flu/tet combi

I was surprised to read this, one of mine had her flu booster today, just flu, not flu and tet, and the vet offered me a choice of which brand I prefered, no mention of any shortage.

Yes, mine only needed Flu in July but had to have flu and tet, but only charged for flu. It was also a different brand and the pony was not allergic to it so that was a winner!

Yes this is a problem for me too. My mare had the most ridiculous reaction to the combined flu and tet in Feb. She's now due her flu booster and we are having trouble sourcing one. Vet is coming tomorrow in her chiropractic role and we need to work out what to do.
