Bew BHS-imposed weight limit on schools

Unfortunately I wouldn't say its necessarily misjudging the market place. The ones that do find a market for more advanced riding, weight carriers or anything else outside the average rs, perhaps wouldn't manage to do so if every rs offered that. And I think at least where more advanced riding is concerned, there unfortunately isn't a big enough market for every rs to offer it. Of the 3 rs near me, one is excellent & can offer higher level training/horses. Another teaches well, but only to a lower level. The third is crap, teaches reins for stop, kick for go. But, is far cheaper & unlike the first two will have you cantering & jumping in a few months (very badly). It's actually harder to get one of their advanced class riding decently than it is to teach someone who's never rode before. But, its cheaper & to the inexperienced offers quicker advancement, so sadly gets more business than the former two.
