Just to warn everybody, i have recieved emails from the following address - john.tony600@gmail.com

this person claimed to be interested in buying my horse and requested my bank details to transfer the money. The author obviously speaks very little english and also offered to send payment by check once they had recieved the horse.

I am still in contact with this person to see if i can find out any more information on them, if anyone else has had similar offers or knows any information on the sender please can they let me know

Hopefully enough people can be warned before someone falls for this scam!

Thanks

Sounds like one of those typical scammers trying to buy horses and other items. Glad you have not been caught out. Well done

Its a scammer, youre better off not replying to them. You need to be very careful as the scam usually goes they send you a cheque but for more than the amount asking you to send them the difference back etc but if you ateempted to cash the cheque you would be the one that actually gets in trouble for money laundering. Check out http://www.419eater.com/ it tells you about most online scams.

Well known scam hun and it isn't restricted to horses. People get them when selling cars, household items, everything. Exactly as ZHS says, stop corresponding because you won't get anywhere. These people are totally outside the law.

They will be based in somewhere like Nigeria, but seeing that fraud is about the 4th top national industry, their government will never stop it. Guess what, many of their government and involved in it too.
