I have posted the vid in CR for cc so apologies if you've seen it twice. The knobber went xc schooling for the first time today. He was very good, apart from at the water. Here he is strutting is funky stuff. I might have to stand down as owner of the original knobber however as he is being quite a good lad these days

happy jesstickle (yes, this hideous grimace is a smile. Hard to believe I know!)

And this is how wound up BH was by all the open space, the company and the fences

He looks lovely, makes it look very easy popping over from a trot! I love the way you pat him after every jump - if you are anything like me thats 'thank you for not dumping me' :D

I can't help but wonder, since he's been so good for so long, what special knobber present he's got instore for you?! ;)

He nearly, nearly ruined it by tanking off up to the field to find Nits when we got back. I could feel him going and then he changed his mind. I think he is finally growing up!

Well done :D

That's a lovely video :) BH is looking great, and definately not a knobber :p

The video doesn't show the bit where he falls flat on his side and I have to bail, before we even jumped a jump though (because no one caught it, not because I wouldn't show you.) Dopey plank! Good job it was nice and soft. He still has it in him to be a knobber

well done you! You both look great, I love the way he looks so calm about everything :)

What you call calm, I call lazy. He doesn't waste energy if he doesn't need to!

Well, it was his first ever time so I thought I ought to be nice :P

I've seen the little sod pop a metre twenty from trot. Good job he can because his natural inclination is always to back off things if they're scary!

Aww bless 'im what a good knobber he is turning in to, I think he may have sent todays knobberisness to the yellow pony though  . What a cleaver pony going round the water there are pony eating monsters in there you know, well speshul seems to think so anyway  never a dull moment with a knobber eh?.
Looks like you had fun we should do a knobber xc day if your going again.

I'll let you know if we go whilst you're home for the holidays for definite. BH doesn't really believe in horse eating monsters. He's an oddball!

Bless him, he couldn't possibly get his hooves wet... Which is a bit of an issue for a boat, as a general rule...

Aww lovely video, he's so steady over those jumps! I would be the happiest person on the planet if my boy was like this the first time!

Aww, thanks. Despite me joking about him I was very, very pleased with him. I smiled pretty much all afternoon after we got back. He is my proudest accomplishment to date I think :)

Brilliant - very impressive for your first time. I am such a baby I wouldn't go over half of those and I've been xc training for EVER! Well done :)
