The report most goes along the lines of the title.

We've never been before (by which I mean never in his life has he been and never in my life have I been) but he jumped everything. We had one run out at the first hedge (he's never seen a hedge either) and after that he leapt everything first time :) Not everyone else did but even when others were stopping he just kept going. Am very pleased with him and his attitude.

My arms ache now as my usually backwards thinking horse was desperate to keep up and gallop, and BH is incredibly tired. When we checked after the second line he was actually shaking and foaming so much he was grey. So we missed the last and hacked back ( I am reliably informed we had jumped all the stuff worth jumping anyway!) He's having a well deserved kip back in his box now.

I had an absolute blast. I haven't been for a gallop since I left work for my grown up job ( five years ago now!) and I've missed it. I had the most fun I've had for absolutely ages. I'd forgotten what an adrenaline junkie I am at heart.

Good BH :)

how come you got photos of the stressage and yet appear not to have made dafthoss run round a drag line with you ;) :D :p

sounds like fab fun :D

I tried to persuade dh to come on her horse but she inexplicably declined :p

I think BH is more kippered than me. It'll do him good. If ever a horse needed hard work it's that one.

I'm hoping there might be a couple of photos as there were people there with cameras. Although I was, apparently, rather red in the face so they might not be that flattering! :o

dont worry we wont be looking at you we only want to see BH ;).

(who btw is prob well impressed that his owned by you at this point :p)

Possibly ester. I hope it goes some way to making up for the boring stressage I made him do yesterday.

He was loving it :D

Just thought I'd pop back to tell you how much I ache today!!

BH trotted up sound this morning though which is good and is mooching about in the field happy as larry. He looks like he's moving a lot better than me!!:D

JenHunt: Yes definitely :D I had so much fun. Have already promised the friend who took me out yesterday that I'd come out next season to the bigger meets as well as the PC friendly ones. I may even, rather rashly, have said I'd split diesel with her for a couple of days out in Leicestershire  Although whether I'll be able to sit the hedges out there is another matter. He'd jump but I'd probably fall off on landing (I tend to end up landing on his ears over anything big!). He's pretty chilled in his jumping in general really. Tends to just lollop over anything you point him at really.

V: you wouldn't be jealous if you knew how much my shoulders and legs ached! Honestly. You can take him out next season if I get Nits going a bit and you haven't got your own to bring by then:)
