I have my stage 1 exam in a few months now and have been told multiple times I will be expected to wear a hairnet, my hair goes past my shoulders however I've never used a hair net before,so this may be a silly question but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of how you are expected to wear one for BHS.
I'm desperate to pass so i really don't want to mess up something that appears as though it should be obvious, any help is appreciated!

Not a silly question if you've never had to do it. Best thing to do with long hair is pony tail, then wrap it into a low bun (so it sits below your hat), put hairnet over head and bun, and then pop a hair tie around the bun over the hair net to secure in place.

That said, under the new rules, as long as you're smart and tidy, ie hair properly tied back out the way, I'd be VERY surprised if they pulled you up for not wearing a hair net, I didn't for my 3 care, and didn't wear beige anything either! Info here re what to wear etc https://www.bhs.org.uk/bhs-professional-qualifications-and-careers/assessments/dress-guidance/

I used to make a pony tail, then use a bun net to twist into a bun, then use a scrunchie to secure.

I think the whole head hairnets look gross!

With shoulder length hair, a bun net should be sufficient to hold it all together, unless heavily layered.

I never put the hairnet over my whole head..just wrapped it over the low bun and stabbed lots of hair grips into it…these days a muted colour scrunchie would secure th3 net.
