I have been reading up on gold membership and have read previous threads on this subject and am confused as to what the excess is, most people have said that it is zero excess and that you don,t pay a penny if you claim but then worryingly I have found a post where somebody has said that you have to pay the first £1000, I want to join but there is not much point if I had to pay this amount as I just don,t have it and you can get much lower excess with other insurers. Please can somebody help as really confused?
