Can I do all the written parts of the BHS stages exams, and take the riding sections later?

I want to do my bhs stages, but i can't do the ridden work due to being pregnant, so i was wondering if i can do all the care sections now then do the riding part after baby, or to i need to complete each exam before moving onto the next

Also how exatly do they work, do i need to go to a collage to the written exam, or will they send it out to me? Sorry of the really numty question, i have no idea how it works, so if some kind person can enlighten me, i would be very greatful:o

Thanx in advance:)

Errrm... what written exam?!

If you mean 'care' which is a practical exam... you can just do the care component and take the ridden exam at a later date.

The care part of the exam is practical, not a written exam. You can do the care seperate from the ridden, but you cannot move onto care 2, until care AND riding 1 are passed ;)

Ah i see thanx:D i thought the care bit was a written test, or at least thats what i was told, obviously by a person thats not done one.

You can't take any exams while you're pregnant, sorry! Use the time to get up to speed with everything on the syllabus so you can take the exams as soon as practical when you've got your baby? You can do all the care exams up to stable managers without having done any riding if you want to, you don't need to have both the riding and care to progress up, just to have done 1 care before you do 2 care, 2 care before you do 3, etc and the same with the riding exams (plus you have to have the riding and road safety certificate before you do the 2 riding exam)
