I’m looking at doing an online general horse care course to expand my equine knowledge but can’t decide on one! I have settled on the Open College of Equine Studies (but I would still appreciate any other recommendations) for the course. The foundation courses are either BHS Stage 1 & 2 Care or Level 1 & 2 Basic Stable Management. From what I understand, the BHS ones are to work towards the exams, which I’m not sure I’ll do. The modules on both courses look pretty similar yet the more BHS one is more expensive. What I’m basically asking is… what’s the difference?!

Hi,
Can't answer your question but hopefully someone else will see it now. :)

I don't know what the difference is - maybe very little as it is about looking after a horse!

The BHS would cover everything that would be on their syllabus as an exam requirement, but I doubt very much if it will be any different for either.
