Quick question: Can I get my BHS qualifications without going to collage of it? and are they even worth getting?

Yes you can - you can do the training at any where to train centre, of if you have your own horses, find an APC who can sign you off. Then book the exam at one of the exam centres throughout the UK. Thoroughly recommend lesssons on exam horses if you're only used to riding your own.

I think the new exam system is great, with good content (having taken them up to the Stage 5 level), don't be put off by those who only know the BHS system from the 90s.

I did mine alongside working. I studied for the stages myself and then just popped up to the venue where I was sitting the exams a week or so in advance to see the layout of the place and have a lesson. On one occasion I actually ended up riding a pony who I was given to ride in the actual exam, so that was great.
For my PTT I did some training at a local BHS registered riding school.
