Hopefully lots of people have already filled this in, especially those of you with serious problems locally.
So far not as bad where I live as it has been in previous years although it could be a little early to see flowering plants here.

If you just open BHS web site the survey comes up on your screen

https://www.bhs.org.uk/

What will happen with the survey results? we don't need a survey to know that a dangerous, notifiable weed [horses] and a food source for cinnabar butterflies is endemic in the UK, people who keep horses should do everything they can to make sure they are not available to horses.

I have C&Pd form below so please make more than 1 response and email each to welfare@bhs.org.uk

Info will be used to illustrate current enforcement (lack of) does not work and in some areas , despite legislation, the problem is getting worse.
Many of you say it is getting worse--please tell BHS where the bad places are--without figures they cannot press for better enforcement

In Lee Hacketts words:
'' Anything you could do to help us increase the number of responses to the survey would be hugely appreciated. I realise how busy you all are and am very reluctant to add to things but it hopefully won’t be too onerous and it is something we can proactively do in the battle against ragwort. Many thanks in advance for anything that you may be able to do to assist. ''

A lot of the land around where i live is over flowing with the darn stuff, and i have not yet to date ever seen the council doing anything about it.
But then saying that there are loads of fields with horses in locally that is smothered in the stuff and no attempt to clear it.
I think Education can only go so far, then actoin need to be take in proscuting these people who happily let it flourish

Done! There is a small paddock next to me (owned by a poultry farm) which is full of ragwort, totally overgrown and neglected. Last year we pulled it all ourselves. I have been to see them this year and asked very politely if they could deal with it as I didn't want to fall out with them by contacting Defra . The chap I spoke to said he would ask the boss to top the field, still not been done and its starting to flower.

I filled this in last year in the hope that something would be done about all the ragwort down the sides of the M27 near me and this year there is more :( It is a stones throw from the open forest with the New Forest ponies grazing so I really feel it should be dealt with before the seeds spread it further. Does the info from the survey get passed on to the relevant authorities?

Kent is covered in it. I could be on the survey for hours and still not fill in all the locations. What to do???
