Hi, i have my bhs stage 2 next week. Think i have studied up on everything from the bhs training books, had lots of hands on experience and my riding is well up to standard. So fingers crossed! Just wondered if anyone had any tips for me?!

Stay calm and if you do something wrong or forget something (and then remember later), point out to the examiner that you did a) but you should have done b). That way any hiccups won't count against you................Well that's how it work when I did mine nearly 15+++yrs ago, so may have changed a bit!!!

i took mine about a month ago and passed, just stay calm and get different people to ask you questions that you may have to answer. My riding instructors quizzed me alot!! Also male sure you have ridden the exercises that they may use, ask your riding instructor if your not sure.

and dont panic if it goes wrong, i thought i had failed cos i dropped the lunge whip in the lungeing and i got in a massive pickle with the lunge line cos my hands were shaking, but i didnt get marked down for it, so i think they put it down to nerves on the day.

Try to impress the examiner if for example when going through digestive system and the person before you missed out parts or named some parts wrong, when its your turn go back to where they went wrong, correct it, and then continue.

Try to go into as much depth as possible about each question so they have to ask you to shut up!

Good Luck!!
