Hey guys,

It's been a few years since i took my Stage 3, but i have decided to give my Stage 4 a go, hopefully next year.

I have re-started having lessons at an Equestrian Centre where they hold the exam to get used to riding that 'type' of horse again, as my usual mount is thoroughbreds recently out of racing, so a bit of a different feel!

I am on a limited training budget (most of my wages are spent on my mortgage, ever increasing horsey bills, and my sickly car!), and I did most of my Stage 3 training on my own, so am hoping to do the same for Stage 4.

I have an Equine Science degree, have worked as Yard supervisor on a large yard and run a small hunting full-livery business myself, so I have 'hands on' experience.

I will be doing some volunteering with my local (very good) equine vet, to get some experience from that angle, but can anyone suggest anything else i can do to help my training? Any good books to study? Any personal experience of the exam?

Thank you! :D
