Yep. Stages 1,2,3, and 4 riding and stable management. PTT and Intermediate teaching and BHSI stable managers. Planning on doing my Equitation and Teaching in May or August. (Scary!)
Can I help??
nope, did pony club equivalents. and in my area theres no where to to stages anyway and everyone knows everyone thru the pony club so it made more sense.
I did my stage one but have switched to the NVQ's. TBH the BHS are becoming outdated and two of the examiners for the stage one were awful and very cliquey (sp?). One of the pupils mum hunted with them so she was never asked any questions and she passed!! When they found out I don't work with horses (I just can't afford to
) they stopped speaking to me for about two hours. I did the exam in January and it was freezing cold (water was still frozen) and they wouldn't let us wear coats and when I had to put the tail bandage on she marked me as failed because I refused to put it on the horse I was allocated as it had a huge growth on its tail bone that was bleeding and obviously very sore. Luckily I passed but after that experience I never want to do another one again!!! I thought about giving the stage two a go but the NVQ's are much nicer and more practical and I can still take the PTT without taking the stages (at least that's what the BHS said...). Also, NVQ's are much cheaper!!
