Thank you to all who helped on my previous thread re this wee dog.

He's going to a knowledgeable and experienced home, where he will have dog friends and owners who are used to dealing with dogs with, shall we say, character :).

I have asked that, if for any reason they cannot keep him, then he comes back to me. We shouldn't have another small dog, but if needs must and all that. I don't think they'll have an issue with him, but I want to cover all bases.

Sister is pleased, but upset at the same time. She's berating herself for not being able to get to grips, but given her health and the child, I think that this is better all round.

I don't know if she'll get another dog. There would be many points to consider, even over and above what she had already done.

Thank you :)

It's someone that someone on here out me in touch with (I'll ask if I can mention her name :)).

Yes, you are right, if she were to ever have another dog, it would definitely have to be proven with little people. I get the feeling though that she is unlikely to take that step again.

He is going to very knowledgable home.:D
A good friend of mine ,we plan to meet on the beach next week to introduce both our rescued puppies.
He will have a lovely home with four other dogs ,one of which is another rescued bichon.
Hope mrs M sister isnt too upset . I feel she has done the right thing the safety of the child is paramount.

MrsM, it shouldnt put your sister off at all, sometimes these things happen and though its sad the dog is going somewhere better now.

There are hundreds of dogs out there who need loving homes that are well trained and bombproof with kids. things didnt go to plan this time but she could probably provide a great home for a different dog.

Ta C :D

I'm sat in the dining room. He's playing with the others and looking quite at home: I'm going to feel mean moving him again, but hopefully he will survive it okay.

Wish he could stay here, but when we move we're already planning on two big dogs (I'm thinking GSDs) and a Collie for D2 to do agility with. Add another horse and a sheep and it will be like a zoo!

ED - ta :D Sis hoped she'd be able to stay in touch, but didn't want to be a nuisance, so it's lovely that the new people have said they'll update her, and Cellie will post :D

BB - ta hun. I'm going to see her tomorrow, trying to think of something that will cheer her up. Her health isn't great so limited on choices. She knows she's done right for the lad, just have to keep reminding her.

CC - oh don't tempt me! Has to wait 'till we've moved :D
