Nope - he's down in Devon.

There are a few Lostock's around - and it could be Lostock Blue perhaps??? Or I could be wrong regarding the ownership of Huntsman - even though he stands down in Devon???

That coloured yearling Bananaman showed a photo of being trotted up at a show? That was gorgous!

I'v heard good things about him, whats his stud fee?
I keep going back to the Greenacres website and looking at Ocombo De L'eau, I adore him but he's abit pricey

That's right!
Think he's about £5 - 600 but think it's CLaRE that has two mares in foal to him on here; she'll know for sure.

Although he's not guarranteed to throw coloured, Bazaars Texas is throwing some very useful types, majority are coloured; his stud fee is ludicrously low, their keep fees are very reasonable and your mare will come back in first class condition; they also have the top 'maternity' vet there too; what more do you need?! (they haven't got a website!) These pic's were taken years ago for his grading with CHAPS.

This one..... ahh, thanks, I love him too!

Good news is that Ringo is standing at Twemlows for this season, as is Festivo.

As horses go, I much prefer Festivo to Ringo, but Ringo does seem to always produce quality foals and bigger than you'd expect as I'm finding to my cost!

To guarrantee colour you will have to use a homozygous stallion, or mare of course!
There aren't too many about.

There's Ringo, Sempers Spirit, Cutsdean of Centyfield, Tomtom, ummmm........that's off the top of my head.

What is your mare like and what are you hoping to breed?

*Jaw hits floor*
How gorgeous is he!

Mare is a 16.2hh, 1/2 hano 1/4 TB 1/4 ID ( Pedigree ), cracking sport horse (well she would be if she could be arsed, the ability is all there!), amazing hunter and team chaser.
I'd like to breed something that will make 17hh+ and will either jump or event but it would need to be the sort that will be easy to sell on should I need to hence the fact I'm thinking a coloured

He looks smart, how big?

16.2 HH. Great temperment and can jump a house (grandsire was Dallas; dam and grand dam were eventers) is almost TB, three quarters plus! Their number is 01785 822221 if you want a card though it's better to go and see (just off M6).

You could go see Ringo at the same time (only 30 mile from there!)

I keep having to pinch myself, I can't believe he is mine!
Of course he will be standing at stud probably next year, providing all goes to plan!

Your mare sounds lovely and I think it really depends on whether you want a showjumper type, an eventer and if you are willing to risk a solid coloured foal.
After all we should never breed for colour first, but I know what you are saying re. the resale value. At the moment colour is the new black!

Any of the homozygous stallions I mentioned earlier would imo give you SJ types, whether they would be slick enough to give you an eventer I don't know. Personally for an event type I'd be looking for a bit more TB blood, but then a lot of the modern warmbloods have a high % of TB in them anyway.

If you are willing to risk a solid colour foal, then your options open out tremendously!

Do you go proven or younger, SJ or event, TBx or Warmbloodx ...........

From the non homozygous stallions I like the look of Umenno, Miley, Greenbank Harlequin, Festivo ......... I could go on and on.

Thanks, and you know what...............

if I go upstairs and look out of our bedroom window..............there he is!

I'm embarrassed to admit that I bought him from their website, unseen in the flesh at 6 weeks old!

I just had a gut feeling about him and I'd just been told that my top horse would never come sound again, so Spider was my retail therapy!

How about a 3/4 TB, 17hh, CHAPS UK Champion Performance Horse 2004.

Local to us and I know Sportsnight was a fan...

Angrove Ricco - hope they don't mind me showing their photos and link - will remove if anyone wants me to...

Was talking to the lass that rides him and apparently he's a total sweetie. The stud had a foal born yesterday, a coloured, but is enough TB to be registered to race!

Just realised that I may be wrong about Ringo and Festivo being at Twemlows this year.
However, they are defo in this country but can't think where I got the Twemlows bit from! Didn't want to mislead people when I'm having a senior moment!
