Tomorrow is Donovans first show! He was most put out this lunchtime being brought in for a bath! But, although I probably got wetter than he did, the bath is done!:D
We have encountered our first problem with him though, he does not like having his mane pulled! I only wanted to just get the straggly ends off, but, no, we are going very natrel!:eek::eek:
So, wish us luck, I think we might just need it! We just hope there are no girlies in his class, as he seems to grow a fifth leg whenever one is in the vacinity!!!:rolleyes:;):rolleyes:

Quick question to the knowledgable! We have got a leather strap with a chain which we have been told is right for in hand. I am guessing we clip it to the right ring of his bit and underneath his chin to the left ring. Is that right?
 
Good luck and hope the weather is nice. Sorry can't help re the lead strap as have only shown older horses in hand with their normal bridles.
 
Sounds right to me.

Which show are you going to? Only being nosy as had a feeling you were fairly close to me.

Have fun and we definitely need pictures!
 
You should have a leather strap (or a chain) with a hook at each end and an o-ring in the middle which attach to the bit rings - then the chain of the lead rein clips to the o-ring. I'm sure that they won't tell you off for clipping it as you plan to, but it isn't strictly correct.
