As you know, Archie is the most wonderful horse and I am priveleged to have him. I battle with my nerves and really owe it to him to see if I can find him a loving home where he will be thoroughly enjoyed and spoilt and his full potential brought out.
So, I have drafted this ad,
and wondered if you could give me your opinion on it and whether I need to add anything. It is written from my heart so please bear this in mind. I hope it comes across as sincere and me wanted what is best for my wonderful boy.
Wonderful, 16.2hh, ID x Cob, 8 years old, gelding. Ideally, to be loaned from his present home, I am looking for someone to enjoy, ride and fuss my wonderful, honest, very uncomplicated 16.2 hh ID x Cob and is 8 years old. He is kept in PO8 postcode, of of A3 corridor, near Petersfield, Hants. Idyllic farm location with wonderful off road hacking in surrounding forest and bridleways.
He is a a gentle giant, very kind and is a very safe hack. He is brilliant with children and has never bitten or kicked. Suitable for a competent, confident novice or someone who likes to hack to their hearts content and enjoy the countryside. He is a blank canvas and I would be happy for someone to take him to shows or pleasure rides.
He lives out 24/7/365.
A person who will love him for what he is and shower him with all the love and fuss he can take.
References will be required.
A contribution towards shoes, etc will be required.
Due to the isolated farm location where he is kept, motorised transport will be required.
Whilst I have stated suitable for competent novice, please do not over estimate your abilities - he is not suitable for a beginner or the unassertive. He is a big boy and when he stands upright, ears pricked, he seems to grow another hand!
In the event you are too far away, I would consider loaning him to the right person. Ideally, someone who can offer him a calm, loving and safe home where he will be thoroughly spoilt.
He is a blank canvas for someone who would like to school him and bring him on. He has popped a log in the forest with great enthusiasm but has had no formal jump training. He is always willing and I can forsee absolutely no problems with him being shown the ropes and excelling at novice dressage, Trec, perhaps a small XC, pleasure rides, etc.
I have advertised before and have bottled it when it has come to parting with him because he is so very special to me but he really deserves more riding, etc, so forgive me, I will ask lots of questions, have a few wobbles, but if you are suitable I will know and you will have a very, very special horse in return.
Full wardrobe, fitted tack. Teeth, vaccs, worming up to date and he is freezemarked.
In the event you may be interested in him, please pm me for a chat.
Thank you for taking the time and trouble to read this.
