Big Foalie?!

Thank you everyone, i am a proud mummy!
Crugeran Celt- shes quite a natural and will jump everything, her sister however doesnt like it too much, so just trots around while 'Rainbow' jumps everything, 'Petal' being her sister, I they came with the names :o:D
Weve only owned minis for a year, had big horses all my life, but theyre so much fun, and make the day much more interesting :p

I agree, they are fabulous to own and keep me amused all day. OH is fed up as I spend so much time with them but I find them so funny. I plan to drive with the yearling, never tried that before but have started long reining her and she loves it, only in a head collar though. Do you do anything with yours besides jumping of coarse!

Yeah definitely!
originally bought the 3 orange ones for my OH as he had a share mini at my old yard and sadly was PTS, so they are 'his' but hes not too horsey so i have stolen them :D
Ooh! my neighbour is thinking about driving hers :)
I have no idea where to start with ours!
Nope, ours are still 'pets' atm, got a showing show planned soon, but now theyve matured going to do somthing constructive when im not playing with the bigger ones!
luckily theyre all so full of energy they keep very fit doing not alot, so thats one thing sorted! :p
Let me know how the driving goes!:D

I have thought about showing mine in a local show at the end of August but because the mare had a still birth not sure how she will react with lots of foals around so will leave it until next year. There is a very succesful driving yard a couple of miles from me so am going to go for lessons there before I start on mine as I have been told can't really do anything until she is two and she has only just gone 1. I will try to post some pictures but don't know how yet, one of mine is orange too. The other is shiny dark liver chestnut, a fab colour although both are registered as chestnut/ skewbald but not a lot of white on either. Yours look so contented it is lovely to see them. I went to miniature breeders yard last year and she had a herd of about 25 it was so lovely to see them in the field together. Thats my plan to have my own little herd, not 25 but maybe 7 or 8 would be nice!

Not only a mega-cute foal, but you are a great photographer. Some excellent pics here, but... we need moooorrrreee lol

oh bless! hope you get her out when you can :)
ah, well apart from foalie my 2 oranges are 3 and 5 now, just turned in may, and mummy is 10 or 11 now, so no waiting here :p
they sound lovely! our little jumper, 'rainbow' has a white patch on her side hehe
but thank you, i would love a few more, but im resisting for now, if i only had minis would be fine but i have to keep 4 big ones in full work, but its ok, any more id probably struggle, as id just have more little ones to watch all day :D
btw i use photobucket, and then post the link :)
Thank you ladyinred! I dont get time to take many photos and usually are just video stills, so i dont miss a moment :o
a few are stills and a couple are just photos :)

tried to look at your photos on facebook but wouldn't let me, I would love to see them any chance of you posting them on here? I am on Facebook uner Lesley Phillips.

That's my dog's facebook :o :D

Pictures...Both Harold and his sister are only 1/4 Shettie. They get their height from their father, Izzy is chunkier than Harold, she looks like sec A x Shettie, Harold is finer and looks more like sec A x miniature horse.

I've got two mini's one i broke to drive myself, she was quite easy to do to be honest, but then i had also broke my other overgrown mini (36"), sadly i lost him 2 years ago to cushings and laminitis :(

my two girls are mother and daughter, the white one is the mom, daisy, and the 'brown' one is maisy. i've had them since maisey was 3 months old and she was huge then, but really has not grown too much since she was a yearling, they both measure around 32" now and maisey is now 7 years old. they are still very cheeky and manage to open the big horses stable doors and open the feedroom given half a chance:eek: but sadly live of a starvy paddock as daisy gets laminitis is she goes on a 'normal' field :(

They look fabulous, I can't wait to try driving with mine. The yearling is long reining very well and she loves going out for walks and is very responsive to verbal commands. I am long reining her in a head collar but where would I get such a small bridle from? My 6 year old is 3/4 fallabella, 1/4 shetland and my yearling is out of that mare to a full fallabella stallion. The mare is liver chestnut and the stallion is palamino, the yearling is a bright chestnut but has a lot of white hairs through her coat so not sure if she will change colour. All the horsey people around me can't understand why I have had them, they think I am mad but to be honest wouldn't have a big horse again.:)
