I haven't been able to ride "Max" for around 6 weeks, due to him dramatically changing shape and therefore having saddle issues. Resulting in a huge paddy, big rear, etc etc
Finally managed to get a saddle fitter out yesterday. I thought i was going to have to have a made to measure, but she found a super fitting one, and he is happy again
Today a friend of mine was running a trec training day, in preparation for a competition she is putting on in August.
I have never tried it before and wondered if it would even be my cup of tea
Hacked over in the pouring rain this morning. It was all a bit scary for my boy to start with... he is only 15 don't you know
He had a few little paddys at things he hadn't done before but once bribed over footbridges with treats, he seemed to relax and enjoy.
We couldn't do the fake low branches as he is toooooooo big
but gave all the other things a go.
He spat his dummy a few times, resulting in some mini rears and stamping of feet. He gets mad when you ask him to do something he can't get his head round
Anway, really enjoyed it and will definitley do the comp next month.
Had a real blast hacking home with Heather and Joey, as had to try and rain dodge, but got caught in the biggest downpour imaginable. Soaked to the skin, but grinning from ear to ear
Soring for boring self indulgent post, but it felt so good to be back on my boy
Thanks "Max" your'e a star
