I have managed to find a yard close to home for my mare and foal so thankyou to all that helped.

However, my foalie has never seen a stable before or been in one.. mum is an old expert and very laid back/calm.

Am i worrying over nothing or is there any help anyone can provide about this situation? They need to be stabled for 48 hours because mum needs to be wormed. Stables are an Ok size for the moment and they can walk around the yard during the day to stretch there legs.

Help!

The foal will be happy if mum is happy!

Fab! hopefully then should all be ok.. just got the big scarey transport lorry now to worry about...

LOL- however in this instance- mum is not a good loader!

Good Luck with your move.

Loading, personally this is what I would do: Have a couple of helpers who know what they are doing. Put the foal up first, hold it where your mare can see it, and she will probably be far more interested in getting to her baby than worrying about having a fight going up the ramp. I may get shot down in flames but I also travel mares and foals loose in lorries.
