Big Horse Tack

I have a 15.1hh cob x shire and although she's not that big in height she is everywhere else!!!!
I need a 6 1/2" snaffle but cant seem to find anywhere that sells them online or shop......
I've been looking online for months and struggling along with her 6" but it really doesn't fit so decided to stop riding until i can find her a more comfortable and correct sized bit.....
Any help will be much appreciated

There are a number of bits which come in the size you need. What type of snaffle are you looking for?

NS make 61/2" bits, although they don't do all of their designs up to that size. I have a Tranz and a Universal in 61/2". They are not cheap though! I also have a PeeWee which I used with a Clydesdale' which says that it fits up to 7".

Blue Horse Equine do a range of bits for bigger horses. I got a 7" bit from them and was happy with service, price and speed of delivery.

Big Horse shop specialise in rugs etc and I'm able to get saddlery from Fylde Saddlery. I've been waiting a couple of weeks for a huge noseband (35" because he measures 30") but just because the person who makes them is on holiday. They easily found everything else I needed and I'm sure my experience is unusually slow.

I was lucky to get a 62" girth from a second hand shop called tack & turnout. They're based in Buxton and claim to be on facebook but I couldn't find the page. I got their card when they were at Chatsworth HT. PM me if you want their number.

I got a Pelham from blue horse equine for my draft who didn't fit standard sizes. Found them very helpful.

Thank you everyone for your help!! I've finally managed to order one from blue horse equine.... Was so easy to do.... I didn't have to sit for hours going through each bit to see if they had the size i needed!!! Will finally have a happy pony 👍🏻
