Am not putting this in vet section as it is too quiet!
My pony has a fat knee, not fluidy, not hot, and not on the joint itself but just above and the swelling has gone downwards onto the knee. He has big flat almost great dane-like joints anyway but this is taking the biscuit. He bounced a one strided double at a show on mon, and has been turned out in a small strip , cold hosed and ice gelled every day.
Any suggestions? should I panic? Im just wondering why it hasnt come down in a week, and will put arnica in his feeds from tomo as am thinking its just a bruise coming out.
Thanks for reading my essay!!!!

My horse used to get fat knees regulary but they were fluidy and I couldnt suss out why until I saw him banging the stable door. Vet told me knees are notorious for taking a long time to go down and to hot and cold it. I would get the vet as you dont know whats caused it to be so swollen.

Thank you everyone, am definately getting vet out on mon. Only left it this long as assumed it was due to him bouncing this double, and really really cracking the sencond part and bashing his knee.
Thank you
