Our lab pup is now 4 months old and started limping in front on Friday. Rest made it a bit better but is still a smidge lame so took her to the vets today. Vet is worried that her knees are enlarged, although she isn't showing any pain when flexed and so on.
Any ideas? I have to phone the vet later to read her feed bag details to her, perhaps a lower protein one is needed?
Shes on Masters Eclipse dog and puppy. Its 28% protein, 16% oil. Its wheat free. I know I'm speaking to the vet again later, but any other ideas?
Poor puppy.

well providing his knees aren't enlarged it sounds like Pano, growing pains basically, if you squeeze halfway between the knee and foot and he shows more discomfort than you would expect this can be a sign of Pano .. too much protein and the bone growth causes discomfort.

This is based on my experiences with GSD's , so assuming labs being a large breed can also be affected
