Farrier who forgot to put stud holes in my shoes last week has not turned up to put them in this am as promised!

I have combined training this sunday on grass and am panicing about what i can do! Any ideas?

usually would but the problem is he was the replacement farrier in the occurance of the normal farriers illness as a result i dont have his number, i stupidly didnt take it down after last time

oh only jumping on my old boy 2'9. just did combined training at golden cross the other week without studs and ended up skidding into the second part of the double, not good times!

Where are you doing it? The ground is firmer now as we have had no rain. Had a SJ lesson on mare Wed outside and we did not need any studs

Firmer can be worse though, makes it slippy

Do you know the farrier's name, can you look them up on here http://www.farrier-reg.gov.uk/ and get their number? Or see if you can get someone else out at short notice?
Otherwise I think you'll just have to take it steady, especially through turns, and if you find you're slipping then withdraw, it's not worth risking it.
