Went to deliver breakfasts this morning to those in the field and my aged TB was nowhere to be seen, very unusual. Anyway when I called him he called back and hobbled around the corner and OMG, he was covered head to toe in thick mud and shivering.
He had obviously been either stuck in a ditch or had lied down and couldn't get back up. So I took him up to the stable and put clean dry rugs on him and he ate breakfast and was tucking into a big haynet when I left but why ???
Why do these old ones do things that get them in that much trouble?
