Big stable low roof?

So recently we converted an old outbuilding into a couple of stables, as this was far cheaper than buying materials, flat pack etc. I haven’t actually moved my horse (14.2) yet but I’m worried the roof may be to low. It measures 7ft2 at the lowest point and 8ft at highest (slight sloping roof). the size of the stables are 11x15. Would also like to add that she is used to smaller stables. Would you say that this roof height is just to low or would she be alright?

As long as it's well ventilated I'd say that's fine. She'll soon tell you if she's not happy with it.

Absolutely fine. I've kept horses up to 18 hands in my 15x15 with a 7ft ceiling height.

My big 18hh hunters stable is only 7ft high, she'll be fine as long as ventilation is good. Id just be aware of making sure any bedding has minimal dust.

Sounds perfect.

You could make it look brighter and bigger by slapping some cheap white paint on the ceiling. Airless sprayer is a quick way to do that.

Thank you everyone, will try it and see how it works out will defo try painting it, at this rate her stable's going to have better interior decoration than the house!

I think when you put your 14.2 in you will be surprised at how spacious the stable is.
