BIG Thank You to the Argos driver who helped injured horse

Good News Story and I am glad that it got to Argos and hopefully the driver.

I wondered about making up some "Thank You" Certificates our local bridleway club could give out to local firms whose drivers are good. I find most of the local Tesco drivers are pretty good, plus Milk tankers and all the local post office drivers. Even the parcel van drivers aren't usually too bad.

We had a spate of HGVs in a row last week and the driver of the first one stopped /slowed down the others and put his hazards on for us, was really decent of him . Unfortunately though on the way back on the same stretch of road we met a rather more inconsiderate HGV driver who decided that because the other side of the road was clear (albeit on a hill ) he'd continue to speed by, and also change down a few gears for added noise ! Unfortunately didn't get any details as was trying to calm pony down who thought he was about to be squashed! His wee ears were all floppy when he heard it coming, almost as if, 'eh that one isn't slowing down!! Arghh!' Wich was a shame given the kindess of the first driver.
 
Lovely to hear of good drivers for a change. I had a Tesco driver pass me twice today with one of my youngsters, did exactly as I asked (stopping so I could move out of the way) the first time and went dead slow the second of his own accord.
A local yard often has massive logging wagons passing them with ponies and carriages, they wrote to one of the companies whose drivers were always respectful and got a massive parcel of freebies back in return for saying thank you!!!

Glad to hear you've had a good experience as well - shame about the inconsiderate one who decided to speed on past you - however in his defence, a lot of lorries are automatic so while I agree he was a kn0b for not giving you a decent amount of space the noisy gear changes may have been the fault of the lorry. Regardless I hope he doesn't take a stupid risk like that again.
